NOTICES & LOOKING AHEAD

Flower Festival – Thursday 31 May, Friday 1 & Saturday 2 June:

Preparations for this event are well underway. Jean Page is organising the refreshments and would be more than grateful for promises of baking and help with staffing the rotas. There are lists at the back of church just waiting for names!! PLEASE help with what are sure to be an enjoyable and worthwhile few days celebrating not only the Queen’s Jubilee but also the beauty of this lovely church.

Two outings:

Sally Haslett is organising a couple of outings: Crediton Flower Festival - Monday 28 May, meeting in the Car Park at 1.30pm and staying for a Cream Tea. The other is to see Chicago at thePrincess Theatre Torquay on 25 July for the Matinee performance,  leaving Kenton at about midday if enough people are interested!  Add your name to the lists at the back of church if you are interested in either of these trips.

Villages Circular Walk – Saturday 2 June:  10am  to 4.30pm - All welcome to join the walk, which this year will start at St Martin's Church Exminster, visiting Powderham, Kenton and Kenn and ending up back in Exminster. Food for thought at each of the churches, and an opportunity to meet friends from other churches within the Mission Community. For more information please see Nick Cox (01626 890631) or see the poster in the church entrance.

THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK:

Where I found truth, there found I my God, who is the truth itself.                           (C.S.Lewis)

PRAYER FOR THE WEEK:

Jesus, just as you prayed for your disciples so long ago

Pray for us,

Pray for our wellbeing,

Pray for our protection.

Pray for your joy to be made complete in us.

Pray for our spiritual growth.

Pray for your truth to be made complete in us.

Amen.
